LUVA OR NAVUA RIVER KAYAKING WITH RIVERSFIJI
If you thought Fiji was just about beaches and diving, think again. The interior of the main island of Viti Levu offers a wide range of activities for the adventurer (or adventurer-to-be). Get picked up in the morning from the RiversFiji office near the Centra hotel in Pacific Harbour (half-way between Nadi and Suva on the Queen's Highway) for a quick trip to the interior.

You'll drive through scenic mountains and canyons on your way to the river.

All equipment is provided. Gear up with life-jackets, helmets, and easy-to-control inflatable kayaks. Even people who have never paddled before will find themselves up and running in minutes.

|
The Luva river, rated at Class 2 out of 5, is great for beginners. Trips to the Navua river go up to Class 4. You'll paddle through unspoiled rainforest and river canyons, past villages and villagers, through rapids and waterfall pools.

If you get too warm, just paddle under the waterfall. This is where you'll stop for lunch on the 1-Day Luva trip.

|
Put into shore for a quick break and hike into the next waterfall to cool off. The trip ends with a short ride on the Fijian river longboats, then back to Pacific Harbour or your hotel!
